Hello! :)

Oooo another creepy crawly to add to our wonderful Morrowind! Heh this one is neat too. It's a fire elemental. :) And it's one mean mother. So watch out!. I realize it's taken me a coon's age to release him. But as you all know, I am very ill...and cannot sit for long periods of time anymore.

Now on to the detailed, and confusing instructions :)

Ok so. In your .rar file you have 1 .tga file. You need to put it into your Morrowind/Data Files/Textures directory.

The .NIF, .nif, and .KF files all need to be placed into your Morrowind/Datafiles/Meshes directory. If you wish to make a directory for Lady E's models, feel free to do so. You place them in it.

All the sounds for the fire elemental are "stock" sounds already in the morrowind files.

Open up TES
Load your plugin
Go to the "Creatures" tab
Right Click on it and choose "new"
Push the "add animation file" button and tell it where fire_elemental.NIF is.
Check the "walks" button. (Make sure no other Movement options are checked)
Type in a "name" like Flamie, or scorcher..
Set it's level and all for what you are wanting to use it for.
Click on AI
Select the "wander" AI pack type and push your delete button on your keyboard.
Go to "add Package" and select "wander"
A configuration menu pops up
For Idle 2 set chance to 30 ---note these settings were
all other idles set to 0 used by me.
Then push the Save button.

If you want the moth to be agressive, set the number by "Fight" to 90
If you want the moth to be passive(lets hope not ;P), set his "Fight" to 30

Hit the OK button.

Now push the Animation button.
Click on the animations and pay attention to the right lower box. You will see "Soundgen" stuff.
What this means is the Moth is waiting for you to tell it what sounds to play for the following sound generation points in it's animations:
Left (what he bellows out when he's idle)
roar (hits)
moan (general, knockouts)
scream (deaths)

Alrighty, so I am going to walk you through how to set the sounds for the ele. First off, save your plugin.

Now go up to "gameplay" drop down and select Soundgen. It opens up a box that has all the sounds in the game. :) If you are unsure on what you want to choose, under gameplay (you can leave the soundgen window open if you want) click on sound. This brings up a box with all the sounds in it. If you click on a sound it will play it for you.
Ok go through each sound type and I will tell you what sound goes with it for the elemental.

Left -atrofrost scream(This is the sound the elemental bellows while he's idle)
right -not applicable (Meaning no sound for it)
roar -atroflame roar (sound already loaded in Morrowind)
moan -atroflame moan
scream -atroflame scream
land -no sound for this.

Alright. Go to Soundgen. Click the button "new" now under the creature drop down select "fire_elemental". Under "type" select "left".
Under Sound select "atrofrost scream". There now you just did the sound that plays when the elemental screeches while it's idle. Woot!

-->>To put in a new sound make sure you hit the "new" button.<<--

Assign all the sounds to the Ele. There should be 4 when you are done.
Left
Roar
Moan
Scream

Once you have placed all the sounds in, hit the "ok" button.

I have also included a loot item : fire_elemental eye along with it's icon. You will have to load it up into the editor, in misc, and assign it as loot for the ele.

Now place the Fire Elemental where you want in Morrowind. :)

But anyhow, hope you like him!
Feed back would be much appriciated if you have 1-2 minutes to spare. Shoot me an email at ladyeternity@cox.net and tell me what you think!
